My Grandpa

My Grandpa died at 9:15 this morning. I went in and told him about my applications arrival at Radford at 9:10-ish...I had just left the room when he died, my dad (his son) was by was side.

My Grandpa was...I'm not ready to use "was", the greatest and funninest man. He experienced so much in his 89 years. He moved as a child by horse and buggy, he worked in a dynmite factory and he was a foreman on the railroad. I loved listening to him talk about his life.

He loved to discuss politics and he too did not like President Bush. So Curtis and I would go in and watch CNN with my Grandpa and talk about world event together.

Grandpa would go to Costco and come home with a huge pumpkin pie and say "Jenni needed this" and then he and I would dive in to the deliousness.

He ate chocolate like a meal and would tease me, like he was going to run over my feet with was cane and the later his walker. When my dad got fast food earlier this week, he ask my Grandpa what he wanted and he said (as only Grandpa could) "cake!"

I love my Grandpa so much. I know I will miss him, it doesn't feel totally real yet.
